Make a Woven Easter Egg Basket to store your mini eggs in!
This is a fantastic idea to display little foil wrapped coloured chocolate Easter Eggs in to give as a present or just to use to collect your Easter Egg Hunt goodies in! You can use your imagination as to what to use to weave the basket with, you could use a brown paper bag as below or coloured thin card as the video shows, but what about decorating plain card strips before you start weaving or weave them with strips of folded coloured wrapping paper!
I guess you could even increase the measurements and super-size the Easter Egg Basket if you liked!
To make a Woven Easter Egg Basket you will need
- paper of your choice to make 19 strips to weave the basket with
- Scissors
- a ruler and a pencil
- glue or double-sided tape
- (optional) small sewing pins to help hold the basket in place whilst you weave
**TOP TIP’S!**
Make sure that your paper is not to thin, as it is nearly impossible to weave the basket with thin paper. Thin card or triple folded paper is best.
BE PATIENT! It is a little bit tricky in places, but well worth it once you have finished!
The video below talks you through how to make this Woven Easter Egg Basket!
It differs slightly to the picture above as they do not use glue to hold the strips in place as they weave the paper. You haven’t got to use a glue gun, any glue or even double-sided sticky tape will do to secure the corners.
