……..We have had a little emergency today here at the North Pole! One of C.I.A elves, Elf Topaz , activated her emergency beacon today to alert us to the fact that she was in a bit of trouble. The emergency alarm was sounded and the standby C.I.A team were summonded to the launch bay. They have had many practice runs at a rescue launch, but I am very glad to say that it is something that they rarely need to do for real! C.I.A assembled and belted into to their rocket powered rescue sleigh, they launched at a very high speed.
The information that Elf Topaz had sent us, was that during her current assignment on the Naughty and Nice List, she had managed to get locked in a garden shed that she was using to do some undercover work in. The biggest problem was that outside the shed door were two very, very angry big dogs whom had smelt Elf Topaz inside the shed and were very keen to meet her! But somehow she didn’t think they wanted to say ‘Hello’! I had to agree with her, it was sounding pretty scary. We were all very worried and everyone waited anxiously in the launch bay.
News came through about an hour and ten minutes later that there had been a successful resue and that they were returning a.s.a.p. Apparently one of the elves distracted the dogs with magic sleepy cookies, whilst the other three liberated Elf Topaz from the shed via the window! A huge cheer went all around the North Pole. Hot chocolate and chocolate cookies for everybody when they arrive. Chocolate cookies are very good for shock! Thank goodness she is safe………
Until tomorrow dear diary
