Hi kids
This is a bit late, but when you read it you will know why!

……..What a day! Sorry that Iam late in reaching you dear diary, but better late than never, as they say! I think that today has been one of the busiest days I can remember in many a year at the North Pole! I don’t seem to have stopped for a moment, let alone a hot chocolate break. By the time I got home to Mrs Claus it was 10pm and I was absolutely exhausted. We had so much to deal with on top of the fact that its the busiest few days of the North Pole’s year! Firstly we had another almighty blizzard, but to make things worse it knocked out our communiaction systems and the all important last minute reports that C.I.A ( the Christmas Intelligence Agency) were sending in could not get through! As you can imagine those last minute reports might mean the difference in some children being removed from the Naughty List to the Good List because of better behaviour, which means some children could receive coal and not their presents! This goes against the whole principle of Santa Claus and Christmas and was extremely distressing! Thankfully, we managed to get a red-hot team of Senior High Tech Elves out to the remote satellites that are stationed all around the North Pole to allow us to have full all media contact with the outside world. They had one heck of a job to fight their way to the satellites with the blizzard causing white-out conditions most of the time, but somehow they managed it, and by late afternoon all communications had been restored. All that was left then was to catch up with the massive backlog. My goodness we have some bad blizzards in the last few weeks……
Until tomorrow dear diary
