Read Santa’s Diary – 5th December 2011
5th December 2011
………To my delight, I was greeted this morning by thirty Snow Bears in the village square, enjoying a hearty breakfast of kippers! Head Elf Ned, from the Reindeer Stables, had brought up as many kippers as he could carry from the deep-freeze and had sent a team of eager elves to go and collect more for the Snow Bears. The Snow Bears were ever so grateful as they had not had anytime for hunting, as they had made their way to The North Pole as fast as their strong white furry legs would carry them.
I went over and greeted them and spoke with the Senior Snow Bear of the group, Aurora. He told me that the White Wolves message had been heard and that every Snow Bear that he knew was roaring the message wide and far and heading to the village as fast as they possibly could. He hoped that maybe a hundred or more Snow Bears may arrive within the next few days. I am so grateful that they are coming to try and help us save Christmas. Let us all pray we can!
On a much more cheerful note, I have been to inspect work on the Sleigh. My, my she is a beauty! She is gleaming the most deep shiny red you can possibly imagine. The runners on the sleigh have been replaced with teflon so that they will take all of the wear and tear that I will be put them through on Christmas Eve. You would not believe how rough some of the places that I have to land in are. In Africa, some of the drought ridden countries have earth that is so hard and rocky I almost bounce out of the Sleigh when we land! I was wondering if they could invent an air-cushion for my bottom, so that the bumpy landings aren’t so uncomfortable…………
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
Until tomorrow dear diary
